Successful Soft Tissue Grafting with AlloDerm®: Hands-on Workshop
This course presents detailed techniques for successful soft tissue grafting with Acellular Dermal Matrix using the latest techniques and instrumentation. Predictable applications for root coverage, soft tissue ridge augmentation, and soft tissue grafting around implants will be reviewed in detail. Each participant will apply knowledge gained from the lecture and surgical videos to perform hands-on AlloDerm grafting for treating: 1) multiple tooth gingival recession 2) soft tissue deficiency involving an implant and 3) soft tissue ridge deficiency. An illustrated procedural manual will accompany each hands-on exercise for reference during and after the course. Please bring loupes for hands-on workshop. Lunch is included.

Immediate Fixed Overdentures
Dr. Shafie shares a new technique that allows clinicians to offer edentulous patients immediate fixed overdenture restorations with minimal lab work and cost. Diagnosis and treatment planning, implant placement, chair-side denture processing, case presentation and practice marketing will be presented making this course ideal for both surgical specialists and referring dentists. Attendees will perform a hands-on laboratory simulating chair-side delivery of an immediate fixed overdenture. Lunch is included.

For best results, specialists are strongly encouraged to attend this all day, comprehensive lecture and hands-on course with their referring restorative clinicians.

How to Run an Implant Study Club
Implant Study Clubs can provide tremendous benefits to participants by improving both the knowledge base and communication among specialties. Dr. Murray Arlin co-founded the Toronto Implant Study Club 18 years ago, and has seen dramatic growth in membership and referrals. This presentation will cover the benefits and step by step process of how to start and run a successful study club.

Clinical Use of 3.0mm One Piece Implants
There are many clinical situations that lend themselves to placement of a narrow diameter implant of less than 3.5mm. This presentation will review the literature on the efficacy of narrow diameter implants and focus on their clinical use. Many cases will be shown that illustrate the classical and not so classical clinical implementation of this implant design.

Faculty: Murray Arlin, DDS
Time: 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
CE Credits: 1
Registration Fee: No Charge

Simplified One Piece Implant Prosthetics
One piece implants present a different set of challenges from a restorative end, especially for a narrow diameter one piece implant. Management of patient force factors during initial healing is most certainly a key for long-term success. Different provisionalization techniques will be presented, along with a simplified indirect restorative protocol for predictable one-piece implant prosthetics.

Faculty: Natalie Wong, DDS
Time: 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
CE Credits: 1
Registration Fee: No Charge
