mission & values

our mission

We improve the quality of life for patients with missing teeth by providing clinicians with innovative and evidence-based dental implants and tissue regeneration products. Our core values are, Respect for the Individual, Service to Our Customers, Efficiency and Profitability, Pursuit of Excellence and Integrity.

our core values

Our core values are the driving forces of our business and the standards that we live up to in all facets of our culture.

We hold respect for the individual as a cornerstone of our culture. We are committed to treating each employee with dignity and we value each opinion. This makes communication a two-way street and ensures that we attract a special kind of person who is willing to grow, contribute and live our values.

Providing service to our customers is central to our success. We aim to respond to the expectations of all of our customers by aligning our business appropriately and fairly. Ultimately our goal is to exceed those expectations by upholding strong relationships, executing in a timely manner and using our independent, professional judgment to advance the objectives of our customers, consistent with the highest standards of our industry.

Efficiency and profitability are other driving factors for our company. Responsibility to our investors to spend our resources wisely is critical to our business. These resources are not limited to money but also time, skills and knowledge of our staff.

The pursuit of excellence is an internal and external value that motivates our Company. We strive for the highest standards so we achieve exceptional results. For our team, goals are set, measured and rewarded on an ongoing basis. Most importantly, however, superior results are expected for our investors to whom we are committed to achieving attractive returns on a consistent basis.

The integrity of any company is only as strong as the integrity of the individuals within the company. Embracing sound moral principles, uprightness and honesty, we not only ensure strict compliance with policies, laws and regulations, but we commit to always "do the right thing." It is our goal to maintain and enhance our reputation as well as the respect we earn by acting ethically at all times.

science

BioHorizons is dedicated to developing evidence-based and scientifically proven products. From the launch of the External implant system (Maestro) in 1997, to the more recent launches of Tapered Pro and Tapered PTG, dental professionals as well as patients have confidence in our comprehensive portfolio of dental implants and biologics products.

In vitro validation

Laboratory tests were conducted to evaluate the amount of load implants can sustain both in static and fatigue. Whether evaluating the implant connection of the Maestro11 or the implant design of the One-piece 3.0,12 BioHorizons implants have been shown to rank at the top when compared to competitive designs.

In vivo research

To evaluate various features of the implants including thread design and implant surface, a series of preclinical studies focused on bone response. These studies show it was shown that the BioHorizons thread design and implant surface exhibit higher bone-to-implant contact13,14 and greater reverse torque measurements14 than designs typically used by other companies.

clinical evidence

To assess how BioHorizons implants can benefit patients, several human studies were sponsored with long-term follow-up out to 10 years. Several clinical scenarios were used to determine how effective BioHorizons implants are when: immediately placed,4 immediately loaded,5,6,15 used in the posterior maxilla,8 used in sinus augmentations,9 used in poor-quality bone and used in patients with compromised immune systems.16 BioHorizons implants were shown to have an extremely high survival rate (99.2% average),1-10 excellent bone-to-implant contact15 and minimal bone loss.3,6,8,17
