The Osstell IDx is a fast, noninvasive and easy-to-use system to determine implant stability and to assess the process of osseointegration — without jeopardizing the healing process. It provides the accurate, consistent and objective information needed to make well-founded decisions.
Measure stability at implant placement and again before the final restoration to monitor the development of osseointegration. The Osstell IDx automatically backs up your data on a regular basis, when connected to the Internet.
To use Osstell instruments as effectively as possible it is recommended to have more than one probe, it makes it easier to autoclave between patients. The length including cable is 150cm.
The autoclavable SmartPeg Mount is used to carry and connect the SmartPeg to the implant or abutment. One SmartPeg mount comes with each IDx kit. SmartPeg mounts are sold seperatly in packs of 5.
Power supply with an adapter for ac/dc outlet of US/JP type. The use of any other power supply might cause damage to the instrument.
The TestPeg can be used to practice measurements and test an Osstell instrument. Note, the device is not for calibrating, only a guide to check the instruments measure function.
The SmartPeg is attached to the implant or abutment when a measurement is made. It is easy to mount and requires minimal space thanks to its small size. The SmartPegs are single-use and delivered sterile in boxes of 5.
SmartPegs are custom made to fit each implant system perfectly and are produced in over 50 different types. Please note that the selection of SmartPegs is updated 2 to 3 times per year.
